Potential Buyer

I totally know that you are aware of Langmuir’s customer service record. I’m mostly posting for the benefit of others who find his thread in the future. If 5 or 6 of us are talking many more are watching.

Also Langmuir isn’t going to find all these post on YouTube so it’s good to bring it to light so it can be addressed here by people who have experience with assembly issues. Sure a good % of people will never dig this deep to find out the risk of purchasing is low due to good customer service but some will will find this thread.

They say there is no such thing as “bad press”. hahaha …ok I’m done now.

Think that’s fair - I put a stop to production in the garage temporarily as I can order the brake, stand, and transformer right now.

I just won’t because I need to make room in the garage to make it fit!

Need to get rid of tons of big boxes (empty), a fridge, relocate my electric folding lawn mower along with all my Milwaukee Packout boxes and more

I found some space in your shop for not just 1 but 2 new toys… and you only have to move 1 thing to make room. :joy:

The F250 needs to go! In order to make room for parking the Z outside…

You seem to have a strong attachment to this car…

…perhaps there is a story there?

Actually, there’s attachment to both the Ford and the Nissan.

The Ford belonged to my father in law, which I inherited after he passed. Thing is as mechanically savvy as I am, I’ve never toyed with a diesel before.

A week before he passed, the truck suddenly stopped running. Think it was the EGR or something that went out (this was what my mother in law told me). Well, the issue being that the truck sat for over a year at her house so the batteries died. I’d need to buy two batteries to even begin to diagnose it and it was summer (+100 degrees) so it sat on the back burner. It’s been at our house for a year and a half now with nothing done.

Sad part is, it is immaculate inside as it was old-man owned and only has some 150k miles. Thing is, it’s a 6.0 diesel so I’m sure it’ll cost me more than I’m willing to put into it especially since I don’t need a truck. But it’s stock, and was well-maintained all its life before he passed.

As for the 300ZX, it was a friend of mine that I’ve helped on and off with. He decided to take on traveling for work and told me he’d be leaving to the east coast for about a year. I remember joking with him at one point about buying it from him since several of us have put time/work into it and I knew my Z cars well (I’ve had 3 before in the past).

A month before moving he actually hauled it out to me and let me have it. Problem is, it’s been out of our DMV system for over a decade so I’ve kind of let it sit to let it fall completely off and not pay back fees, etc.

Car has a very well-preserved interior, and even the motor has been built from the ground up with heads having been reworked and everything.

It has minor issues such as a small dent in the rear quarter panel, old tires barely holding air, and needs its downpipe re-attached and remaining exhaust finished. Otherwise it runs and runs well.

I haven’t bothered with getting it back up to snuff because I’ve got the Ford in the way, and I haven’t bothered with the Ford because I’ve been investing in my shop.

Way to make a short story long

But yeah being disabled and on a fixed income makes it tough to tackle all I want/need but I do have a plan for the Titan. Just need to hire one of those dudes that hauls junk to pick up all my steel, my extra bottle jacks, and sell off my tube bender, my brake, and reorganize tons of stuff along with getting rid of my garage fridge.

Keep the fridge…. Get rid of something else first! JK :winking_face_with_tongue::joy:

On a positive note, the fridge and bandsaw are getting picked up today.

Then I’ve got one of those self-employed trash haulers coming tomorrow where I’ll be unloading a ton of misc stuff to clear out much of the garage.

Will need to use the next week or two to reorganize things and afterward I should be able to order my Titan. Hoping I can time it correctly as I’ll be out of town the first days of April (my kid’s birthday).

Only problem now is selling specific items and dealing with marketplace.

I’ve posted up my Swag Off Road Pro brake, and I’ll need to post up my Woodward Fab tube bender next.

Local classifieds are the worst these days. I’d rather throw something away than waste the time it would take to get $100 for it.

Bandsaw and fridge got picked up today.

I let my powdercoat guy have it otherwise they were going to be tossed by the junker that’ll come tomorrow at noon.

As for the two items I’m selling, hopefully this buyer comes in as agreed. Got my press brake and tube bender as a package deal for only $2k. It’ll really help clear up space with them gone.

I still have a mess but, significantly more space all around.

The space here on the right was fully occupied; now I can actually walk through it.

This back wall is where the Titan will go after I relocate many of my tools and mower to the side wall.

While it may seem silly to update this post while not yet owning a Titan, we’re making progress with making room leading up to said purchase.

While the garage is still heavily populated, I began to reorganize things starting with the Milwaukee Packouts and mower I had where the Titan will go.

And the biggest change being that I sold the Ford off today.

While bittersweet, it was absolutely necessary - it was time to let go of the truck once and for all.

Got some more organizing to do, along with giving stuff away and clearing up space. I’ll need to address the large gear oil stain left by the Ford and once that’s done, I’ll move forward with getting the 300ZX parked outside. Got an all-weather cover on the way as well for that.
