I am just about ready to do some test cuts on my XR but I have got a noise coming form the left side of the Gantry.
Seem to work fine but it makes a clanking noise when moving from front to back but not back to front.

Did you lube ball screw assemblies? Check to see if something is out of place on the ball screws interfering when moving or overtightened felt washer retainer?
I did lube ball screws, I cant see much with the plastic guards in place. I think the noise is coming from the ball screw but not sure at this point. Will do some more digging and see what I come up with.
Hopefully something simple. Did everything glide smooth when pushed by hand no binds, check pully on motor as well make sure nut is tight.
I found it I noticed the ball screw was vibrating some, so snugged it up a little tighter and that took care of it.
