New to the cnc plasma table world and looking for help

yes I try to every night watch and read. I finally got my table but found out my plasma is high frequency so have to order a new one. so I will have some more time to learn.

We have one of the original crossfire tables, i started with fusion 360/mach 3. We added inkscape due to it was easier for the wife to pull images off the net and work with them. We are in the process of switching over to sheetcam now. They did not renew our “free” subscription for fusion and i am not paying their price when i don’t need too. Fusion is a great tool if you are familiar with 3D CAD/CAM but for making signs it’s over kill. I would suggest buying a external hard drive to back up all your files too, when our laptop did the windows 10 update we lost almost everything due to being on a temporary desktop and didn’t know it. take it slow, never stop learning. I run a razorweld 30 cutter as well.

Welcome. Sounds like you’re on your way.

You might look into Affinity Designer. It’s inexpensive, one time purchase, and give your more control over dimensioning objects. It’s also fairly easy to learn, @Brownfox has a couple of useful videos to get you started. The Affinity series also includes Affinity Photo which I find useful as well.
