New thc problem after months of good running

Yep, everything smells burnt in my shop, I do a metric s#!% ton of cutting. Lol. I am sick of re-checking wires so guess I can start there.

At least if it is the box I still got a couple months on my warrenty.

Turning off THC made it work enough to finish the order i had loaded on the table, but not a long term solution. I get a lot of temp warps in the 14 &16 gauge artwork i cut.

If the table if erroring out right off the bat now then I would suspect it’s the VIM box.

quick question, i still have a couple months on the warranty, the warning sticker seals the two halves together. if i open it up do i void the warranty?

You might wanna hit up Langmuir on that…

thanks for your help!!

gonna run continuity checks on wires while i wait to hear back from them.

Have you checked the torch height sensing switch behind the torch mount? I was cutting a bunch of small pieces with drop outs and splashing alot of water. Water soaked the switch and my torch height was varying up and down during the cut. I put a silicone funnel on end of machine torch and it cured the problem.
Trimmed it off to fit and slid it upside down over torch.

By your last few post it sounds like a wire connection issue…

The funnel looks like a great idea, Thanks. I just put one in my cart. I gotta ask, do you have any trouble seeing tip ups, or having the funnel snagging on them when it moves away from the cut? how far above the workpeice do you have it set when the torch is down?

I have it about 3/8 to 1/2" above material and it stays out of the way.

Hi wingnut, i am having what seems like the exact same issue stated here did you ever find the cause of this

My issue ended up being a defect in my cutter.

I contacted primeweld and they sent me out a new cutter which fixed the problem.
