Thanks for the update.
For someone as new to this process as I am, the coordinate system was a bit counterintuitive compared to a traditional X and Y axis layout. As shown in the sketch, the machine’s Home position on the face of the garage, which Langmuir technically designates as the “rear” of the machine, places the X-axis origin at the upper corner of the table rather than the lower corner. This misunderstanding was entirely on my end, as I had not fully grasped the machine’s coordinate orientation.
Once I homed the machine, I positioned the locator (laser head) over my material at the upper rear corner as shown in the sketch. I then set the X and Y coordinates to zero, homed the CHS and AFS, entered the material parameters, and loaded the material. After following that sequence, I was able to successfully run the program four consecutive times without issue.
For those using shop air, one important detail that was brought to my attention is that shop air should be connected to the Nitrogen port. The Oxygen port is intended for low-pressure use only, so there is no need to have both hoses connected at the same time.
I was not getting a gas burst when using shop air because I had it connected through the O2 port on the back of the table instead of the Nitrogen port.
