Missing definition for Haas end mill in Fusion 360

I have this end mill: Haas 03-2974 - EM 2FL 1/2(R.030)x1/2x2x4"

Seems like a pretty regular mill but it’s not listed in the tool library. Any advice on adding new tool definitions?

Watch this video on how to manually enter milling tools into Fusion. On another note, I get all my endmills from Lakeshore Carbide in NY. You will save a lot of money vs these suppliers like Haas.
Don’t get me wrong, they have good stuff, but so does Lakeshore Carbide.
Entering endmills and thread mills is something you will need to master.

There are many videos on this subject on YouTube.

Thank you for that, John. I did actually enter the mill into F360. But I was also only half confident that I did it correctly. I know that I ended up just corrupting the mill I was using as the basis and so now I gotta fix that. It all just felt unnecessary since that mill is so common and I figured there must be a better way. Apparently, F360 used to have a “cloud” library of some kind; but they have deprecated it and now it’s called Hub… and it requires that you start or join a group of other folks to share tool definitions with. I haven’t looked closely a it yet, but I will.

I’ll watch the video you shared and do some more research.

I bought pre-owned MR-1 and it came with 6 or 8 Hass mills. I defenitely don’t want/need to shell out that kind of dough so I’m definitely gonna look at Lakeshore. Thanks for the recommendation!

No problem, my friend. I will tell you this. If you buy anything from Haas, they will blow your email up for years. Unsubscribe doesn’t work. I bought a lathe part two years ago and still get 6 emails a week from them. Bad business if you ask me. Now, if you were cutting Titanium or Inconel, I would reach out to the high-end producers.
