I’m a all in and up to my neck!
I’ve downloaded fusion 360 and am learning CAD, CAM little confused on the G-CODE to firecontrol file transfer but apparently I’ve got two months to figure it out before the crossfire pro gets here.
I’m in the same boat. I’m expecting my CF Pro sometime in May and still have a lot to do to be ready. I ordered a Hypertherm 45 XP with a machine torch and a California Air tool 4 hp 20-gallon tank to connect to my existing air compressor’s 35-gallon tank if needed. I need to wire up the receptacles for them, plus a dedicated circuit for the plasma table. I’m also building a storage shed on the side of my garage to clear out some space inside the garage. I think the table will show up too soon.
Check out PDO Academy in case you are looking for some additional instruction.
Yes sounds like we are in the same boat. I have a dewalt 5hp 2 stage 80 gal compressor coming in two weeks and am pondering a steel building.
Awesome! You are in business!
Joel, I have the same compressor…and i have a 60 gallon reserve tank.
The compressor can keep up cutting 11Guage steel without much of an issue…but I like to give it some duty cycle time…and I run a fan on the heads to keep them cool
Thanks for the feedback. I have a case of AC electronic-type fans. Do you think an array of them would be sufficient?
That’s only because you live in that warm climate. If you lived someplace colder, you probably wouldn’t need to do that. Just sayin’
warm climate?..I live in the 7th coldest capital city in the world…

all I run is a small computer fan blowing air around…
