Machine is not cutting the entire path of the shape

I have not been using fusion 360 long but my issue is with the current design is it’s not cutting all the way through my shapes. It’s stopping about 3/8" before the end, but I’m telling it to have a lead in & out. It’s piercing right on the line but leading out and I am setting an overlap. I don’t understand what’s causing it to come up short and the simulations show it doing the right cut pattern with a lead in and out. Can someone point me in the right direction to correct this issue?

Just a air compress with a filter…

It cutting through 1/8" plate just fine, it just does not cut the complete shape and it happens on all the shapes on the sheet cut pattern.

Could you export and post your f3d file.

And you’ve managed to get your torch right working correctly for this machine?

If that’s the outside edge of the circle you’re cutting and that’s the top of the material, then it’s cutting the wrong direction for an outside cut.

Also by the look at the cut at the end your torches likely raising at the end of cut.

You are putting your material clamp directly on that sheet of aluminum you’re cutting?

To post an f3d file you would need to export it from fusion 360 then post it.

Sorry I meant to write did you get your torch height working correctly.

And your air system consists of a air compressor and a filter? What kind of filter?

Its telling me new users cannot upload files…

The material is just sit ontop the table with no clamps… 1/8 Aluminum.

Do all of the cuts in that file do this, or just the first loop?

Some Thermal Dynamics machines require a much longer pierce delay for the first pierce.

That picture looks like it did not fire the torch until it was well into the cut loop.

Clamp to the material. Clamping to the table is unreliable.

How are you dealing with water vapor?

To short of pierce delay time really would explain the no lead-in but a lead out… I am trying that today…

Sheetcam has a Thermal Dynamics specific post processor that adds the additional pierce delay to the first pierce.

With Fusion, you will have to open your G-code in Notepad and edit the first pierce. The first G4 P0.5 should be changed to G4 P1.5. That should be enough additional delay, but you may need to add more.

if its the end you may also be cutting the wrong direction.

That is suppose to be the start of the cut, but there is no lead-in… So that’s why now, I think I have too short of pierce delay time in the program… Will try 1.5s this afternoon, when i have some free time…
