This is the light in question. It is a unique location as far as having the opportunity to shine on the house.
Now that I look at it, I might only need the shade on just one of the panels. I might need to print that again.

Thank you Craig for this link. Here are some takeaways for me:
As many of us felt the designer admitted: They had to compromise on the laser but they did not compromise on the 3D printer.
As far as the tool head switching mechanism, the designer was a admittedly evasive of why they picked one over the other. One method was the swivel head was considered. I suspect they are still considering that method since they got a patent for it and the way he said “I won’t comment on whether we will or won’t do in the future.”
The size was based on keeping the weight and size down for practical reasons and increase the size as much as possible and keep the quality up. They had some things in mind that they wanted to be able to print such as the bike helmet so that was part of the size consideration. A bigger printer was going to be more difficult with shipping and fit in your home.
This is a fairly honest discussion about the Firmware Drama of Bambulabs in that interview. This link starts at the 1 hour 37 minute mark:
Thanks for tagging that security discussion at the end.
Useful prints I’ve recently found

Good idea. Here is another practical printable. I am thinking we should start another thread since this is becoming a monster size?!
(I actually have been trying to print that tube squeezer for the last 14 hours but bed adhesion is balking on the ASA. Finally got it with soap/water wash, hairspray and a brim but I separated parts to print…bad move. It was suppose to be printed in place so starting again!!!)
Here is my find today: Keychain calipers. Both of these models come in metric and Imperial measurements
lots of good stuff here, thanks for sharing. I do a lot of 3d printing and I enjoyed this thread.
Welcome to the forum!
We look forward to hearing more from you.
Thanks. I have some questions but will start a post about it. as far as 3d printing, I have a couple of resin printers, and a few bambu printers, and a orangestorm giga. I typically print 5-7 days a week
