For THC control, I installed mine before LS introduced their THC system and I’m glad I did as I’ve avoided all the problems that come up with the LS system. I use the THC-3T which uses an Isolated Differential Amplifier to monitor the Torch voltage and works very well.

That is a whole 'nother thread right there. I’m cussing my THC right now.

I think you’ll find a few already exist from a few years ago. Search for THC-3T or Proma, both are commercial THC controllers. Personally I like THC-3T for many reasons. The discussions predate LS offering a THC system so we had to roll our own.

If you haven’t already, using a USB isolator dongle between the USB cable and the USB port of your laptop clears this up in almost all cases. We have USB isolator dongles available if you need one, you’ll just need to reach out to support@langmuirsystems.com to request one!

I’ve heard this a few times. I got a dell rugged PC I use standard USB with grounded PS and haven’t had an issue yet. Cut 60 plasma.

Here’s how I fixed my ground problem, problem started when I got mounted a touchscreen.

Odd THC problem solved - ground between monitor and table frame

Fixed my THC ground issue today. But first, while I had it apart, I powdered coated my mount arm (Prismatic Powder KTM Orange II), getting tired of black everything.
