I need to extend the torch control cable by 4 feet. Can I use a standard 2.1mm x 5.5mm DC 12V Adapter Cable DC Plug Extension Cable Male to Female Black?

Yes. I got a 20 footer and use it instead of the original. I wouldn’t use one to daisy chain together to make a long one, the extra connections are just one more place for interference or other failure. I took the new long cable from Amazon, clipped off the end I wasn’t plugging into the Crossfire to get the two wires I needed for my CNC port on the Hypertherm.

I ended up ordering this cable extension on amazon.com and it worked out perfectly.

If I were to do it over again, I would take JamesDhatch suggestion and make my own cable. However, the cable extension works perfectly as well.
