Hello, the hypertherm Duramax torch comes in a standard length and a mini length. Is there any advantage of one over the other?

They are the same! You can remove a spacer on the standard to make a mini torch.

I bought the mini torch because it weight less…

Thanks, from what I can tell all of the Duramax torches will fit the 45 XP?

The Duramax torches that are used with the Powermax65, 85 and 105 will work plug and play with the Powermax45xp or the original Powermax45 (non-xp). Jim Colt

Can I ask a question? Is the advantage of the Duramax torch in the torch or the machine its attached to? I have a Powermax 45 (non XP). Is there an advantage to do a full upgrade to the XP?

There are advantages in the Duramax torch over the original Powermax45 torch including: Longer consumable life, Finecut consumables (better cuts on materials thinner than 10 gauge), better long term reliability. There are advantages in the 45XP power supply over the original 45: Smaller and lighter, more cutting wattage for higher speeds and thicker cut capacity, higher duty cycle, the ability to do plasma marking at 10 amps.
