How do I check and see if the THC is working properly? I have been cutting alot of 16ga steel and some have been warping a fair bit and I am not sure if the THC is compensating for the difference. Or should I add more water to the table to help cool the workpiece?
Watch the Z axis on the control panel. When it says “under THC control”, look at the spot where the voltage is displayed. Next to the voltage are lights that will light up to indicate if the Z axis is moving up or down in response to voltage changes.

Or… you could watch the Z axis coupler and see if it turns while cutting. That’s a pretty easy indication that something’s happenin’…
