Hello! Probably a rookie issue with post processing!

Hello, and first off thank you Langmuir for creating an affordable and simple way for people to get into cnc plasma cutting!
I recently received a crossfire 45A bundle and I’m running fusion 360 with Fire Control. I have used autocad in the past (10+ years ago), so a little rusty you could say. I am having trouble getting my tool path profile to post in a format that fire control can recognize. I have watched every fusion tutorial video and gone over the posting text but still feel like I’m missing something. I think I am not getting the right post processor in the library when creating g code or?
Appreciate any help! Thanks

Are you getting an actual “TAP” file output and FireControl just doesn’t like the format?

no, the file output is in .dxf and I can’t figure out how to get it to a .tap or other recognizable format.

So once you’re done with the drawing/design CAD part of your project, you will need to run the CAM portion of Fusion360 in order to generate the tool paths that contain the instructions(TAP file) your controller needs to cut your parts… In Fusion this can be found under the “Manufacture” tab on the top of your window… When you’re in Manufacture you will need to create a SETUP and within that setup one or more 2D profiles… After that’s all set, you will POST in order to generate the TAP file you’re looking for…

You can go to Langmuir Systems main site to the “Support” menu and under the User Guide section click on the CAD/CAM with fusion 360. Then scroll down to the section called - “CAM: Program your Part”. They have YouTube videos of what you’re looking for.
