Good evening everyone I’d like to start by saying when this things cutting it is absolutely amazing what it can do. With that I come from 15 years of waterjet and plasma operation so the laser is just a small change for me but something new for sure.
I’m curious how things are going for everyone else. My main issues I’ve been experiencing are software related. A lot of which I understand will be worked out in the future. I thought maybe I’d check here and see if anyone has some tips or tricks to offer.
First off the pause feature not working is a struggle. If I have any issue I’m forced to either restart the path from the beginning or abandon that part and start over. Unless I’m missing something, I cannot locate a way to jump to a certain line in the g code or pickup the cut where I leave off after stopping.
Additionally when homing my machine I only home it too the workpiece. When I try the home machine feature it moves very slowly and homes only the y axis and nothing else. Something just doesn’t seem right to me on that.
i don’t want to bash Langmuir because i know this is a huge new leap for them and they’re swamped with orders. But getting in touch with them is a struggle.
If anyone has any cut charts or setting tips for building material and tool profiles that would be incredibly helpful.
Sorry for the long post just hoping for some direction.
We are completely new to any sort of cutting table. Would you be willing to share the workflow and software you used to actually do a test cut on your Apollo? I see the terms “Fusion” and “Sheetcam” have been mentioned elsewhere on the forum.
Or if someone is willing to share a very simple code file that we can load right into the Langmuir software of just a small 1” circle or 1” square that we can use to just verify our machine works that would be very helpful.
I have talked to Langmuir x and z home is turned off in the software it is currently broken. auto focus is currently broken as well; they are working on a software update for both. cut charts are in the software package listed folder after installation and at the bottom of the assembly instructions.
