Gen 1 table Software options

Yes, Sheetcam creates the necessary Gcode for cutting from SVG and DXF files per your cut settings for inside/outside cuts, speed of cuts and path rules etc.

How about solidworks will that have the right stuff for cutting on the crossfire pro? And thank you all for your help! Its frustrating learning a whole new program and then find out it doesnt work for your cutter lol!

ANYTHING that creates a DXF or SVG file will have the ‘right stuff’ for CrossFire IF you use SheetCam for your CAM processor.

And thats the sheetcam thats like $140 to own it right? The one for plasma cutting and cnc whatever on their website right? Amd thank you very much

Yes, the SheetCAM for $140! Whichever way you go, you will need to learn three programs:

  1. One to design/draw your object (too many to list)
  2. One to generate g-code. If you are using FireControl you have two options (SheetCAM or Fusion 360). If you are using MACH3 (many options but SheetCAM is still going to make you the happiest).
  3. One to control the table and cutter (FireControl for PRO and upgrades or MACH3 for Gen 1 crossfire)
