So I’m leveling my gantry and it continues to drop quite a bit (1/4” ish). I notice that 7 of the bearings on the gantry that slides on the lower cross tube is not rotating when I slide it back and forth. Is this normal? When I installed, the video said it would be tough to get on because there preloaded for that tube. Mine just slipped on. Any suggestions? Or is that normal and I have to compensate for the 1/4” drop when I’m trying to level this?
Hi, it is normal for the gantry to drop about 1/4” after you release the torch mount.
All of the bearings in the adjustable bearings must be in contact with the rail. At least one of the bearings in each fixed bearing block must be in contact.
