Flood coolant for water table

Hello, maybe a dumb question, maybe not.

I have a mag drill, and it uses water soluble cutting oil. Same as the kind in milling machines.

Since it is cut at a rate of 1 cup per gallon, it isnt much. Since it is oil based, that should prevent a lot of rust issues.

Anyone ever use water soluble cutting oil/flood coolant? A lot of them are labeled non toxic.

I am using Borax now, but was just wondering if it would work

Check the flash point. Doesn’t sound like a good idea. Sterling Cool 5 gal pal will last for a long long time. Just my two cents.

nion toxic when used in the conditions they were designed for…you take a liquid not designed for plasma cutting you completely change the properties and hazard conditions…

example…galvanized metal is fin to handle until you burn it, like with a plasma…huge…huge dangers when you do that from the fumes…

it is hazardous enough to breath the air when plasma cutting…
