Crossfire pro shocking

Having issues with crossfire pro and primeweld cut 60 not firing the torch and shocking through the laptop when torch is supposed to fire in the program. Torch fires in manual mode didn’t really feel a shock but trying to run a program it shocks you good and won’t fire the torch have no idea where to start

Are you saying you are shocked by touching the laptop? Has this table worked before?
Is the VMI box wiring Good? Is it wired for raw voltage? You must trace all VMI wiring to see if it has been compromised or just plain wrong. This is the first time this issue has surfaced here at the forum I know of. The plasma cutter puts out DC voltage unless the plasma cutter itself has gone to ground inside. Send us pictures of all your wiring, including the VMI box.

Actually I had this happen once. I did mention in in a thread somewhere . My laptop had a metal ring around the outside. Every time the plasma would fire if I was touching that metal ring I could ever do slightly feel a tickle.

@Logano check the USB port in the control box it is probably touching the side of the control box.

Several people have had to put spacers behind the control board to step it out.

Their issue wasn’t a electrical shock though.

Take the advice of @Bigdaddy2166 you could have a serious problem especially if you are gett a significant ahock

Do you have a laptop stand that is attached to the table? If so, it needs to be isolated from the frame or removed from the table.

The positive cable from the plasma cutter is attached to the metal, which is also attached to every other metal part of the table. If you don’t isolate the laptop stand from the table frame, current will run through it. You can probably solve this by using a rubber mat under the laptop.
