Cossfire pro intermittent firing

I have a problem with the torch not firing at the start of a program. I am cutting multiple pcs but am manually indexing the sheet as the pcs are 8’ long when complete.

So the first cut works fine and sometimes the second. But normally the second cut wont fire.

It seems to be two ways to correct this but neither one works every time. I can shut everything down and reboot or I can start the program with THC disconnected and then turn on after the torch fires.

I have run the test on THC and everything checks out.

@LMS welcome to The Forum

The first pierce of fire control program has added time build in.

It could be that you’re Pierce delay is too short to pull in the relay on the second Pierce.

What is your Pierce delay set for in the program?

.5 I believe I’ll double check that but it is the same for both programs and the problem is the same no matter which program I run first.

start at .8 secs and see if that helps.

.8 made no difference

Welcome to the forum,

Since you’re moving the workpiece, where is your work clamp attached?

directly to the sheet.

I just run another program where I am not moving sheet and still get the same result on my second pc

have you tried it with thc turned off?

Yes once the program stops I reset with THC off sometimes it will fire then. Other times I have to shut the computer and the table down and restart to correct the problem

The ground is attached directly to the sheet.
