After buying an MR-1 about 2 months ago, lurking in all the forums and seeing what all you are all up to I finally did my concrete pour today. I totally followed what you all are doing and built a skid with levelling casters and used the shower drains that were suggested (sorry I’m not sure which of you were doing what to give credit, but none of it was my idea, just standing on your guys’ shoulders). My concrete skills are severly lacking but had a buddy help and I think we got it to a passable condition.
Looking foward to building the rest of it and making parts. I have used a shapeoko for several years for wood and aluminum and looking forward to some ferrous metal machining and mainly the full bath setup of the MR-1.
Anyway, just wanted to intro myself and convey a HUGE thank you to all of you guys that are doing rad mods and offering all the advice found here.
I mainly will use this to support some hobbies. I’m a bit of a car nerd and also model semi-trucks in 1:14 scratch designing and building trailers for moving dirt. I crahs my way through 3d cad in fusion and do a ton of 3d printing as well.
