Bend Relief lines when using sheetmetal tools in Fusion

sorry i know this is old but i just went through it. The easiest thing I found to do is is simply draw your lines on your centerline where you want the relief. Just lines, nothing else. Project them into the DXF file. Open sheetcam and create a new layer with the lines and make a program with the layer cutting the lines with no lead in and lead out and then run the rest of the programs as normal.

Welcome back to the forum!

Definitely a great way of doing it in most cases.

It’s exactly the way I show doing it in the video up above but I keep it all inside a fusion. Doesn’t look like that video is working anymore from Loom, I should repost it to YouTube.

How do you find that methodology of single kerf cut works with quarter inch material?

I used 3/16”. Still took a good bit of effort to fold it since it was 20” wide (i cut out everything but 3” on each end and 2” in the middle) but it worked out great.

Actually you don’t have to do a separate layer for your bend lines in sheetcam. Well unless you want a shorter pierce delay. It defaults to cutting on the line with any leads.
