What should the air compressor setting psi be set at? It shouldn’t got to it’s max setting of 175, should it?
It depends. Does your plasma cutter have its own regulater? My compressor runs about 140 psi and its cut back to 70 ish at the cutter by its built in regulater. And it varries by brand of cutter.
I am going to have to claim dumb until I get into the manual. I have the Hypertherm 45.
I have the same plasma cutter. It works awesome! The Powermax 45 recommended PSI is 90.
Do not exceed PSI is 135. Above that could damage the internal filter bowl.
