Hey everyone! I know there has been a ton of interest in creating press brake tooling. So I went ahead and created some parametric models that can be fully customized to your needs. They include a punch model that can be a v punch, an acute punch, or a radius punch. Also a V die and a radius die. All you need is a Makerworld account and you can access my models. Click on which one you want to use and click the Customize button. It will take you to the parametric modeler inside Makerworld. Once inside on the left hand side of the screen you can change any of the inputs to your needs. once happy with your selection hit generate( it takes a few seconds so be patient). The model will change to what you inputted and then you can print it out. No need to have to model it yourself. Hope it helps you guys out. Do me a favor and spread the word, also give me a boost if you are happy with the models. Thanks guys!https://makerworld.com/en/%40Custommetalmke/upload?asc=true&orderBy=createTime

I just added two more models to my Makerworld. With the new ones you can insert rod on the lead edges to protect the die from wear. Again everything is parametric so everything can be customized to your needs. In the bottom picture all three dies were used to make the same tight bend radius. The one with the inserts has 0 wear at all.

That sir, is a great idea. Reinforcing the dies anywhere they’ll see sliding friction or high pressures per square inch is a sure way to massively increase the die life. I used dowel pins to back a thin blade in a cutting die for the same reason and it worked great.
I’ll be using this trick on some bending dies in the future for sure!
