Success! Another project cut completed. Biggest yet

23”x23. About maxed out the cutting area of the CROSSFIRE.

need to make sure your WCS is right on and the sheet is square with the cutter

All turned out well, ran and cutter off cycle first.
To be sure nothing ran off the sheet.

Now that is awesome!!!

Very nice.

I am guessing that you sent it out for parkerizing as that is one nasty process. If you did it yourself…could you show your process in a different thread.

Bottle opener fresh out of the park bucket.

finter no I parkerize in house. Just use a 27x25x2.5 stainless steel pan made for washing machines. And. DIY pipe burners I built.
DIY park tanks. And Manganese phosphate is not a messy process at all…
Distilled water and the phosphate to 180-190 F.
And proper metal prep. Very simple process.
Bluing on the other hand. Yes.
There’s also a slow rusting process which yields incredible metal finishes. But it’s time consuming

The smaller stuff can be done in plastic or glass containers and water phosphate heated in a microwave… say like a bottle opener …
just maintain your water temps 180-195
But 200 deg F. Seems to yield the nice Black Park finish

Smaller stuff only takes a few minutes to completely parkerize😉

All commonly done in the firearms restoration industry.

Well done, definitely selllable!

Did you have to clean off the millscale before you parkerized?

Cleaned de greased dried then in the blast barrel
After blasting rinse hot water right into park tank

This turned out great. Thanks for all the details on the material and cut. I’m doing a compilation video of what people have been able to accomplish with their Langmuir CNC. I’d like to send people to your Etsy Instagram FB or website as well if you have any of these.
