Has anyone considered using the machine with a laser head for engraving or wood/foam cutting?
Yes. You can find 10 watt stand alone lasers that can attach to the machine with some modifications. Those lasers usually are over powered diodes that won’t last long and you need to figure a way to control the laser output. Full power on and off would be easy enough. There are a few pins on the breakout board that I’m thinkng are for spindle control and could possibly get these pins to output a variable signal to drive the laser at different power levels.

Have you had much luck with this. Was going to try this with a weaker laser
