Another thing I learned recently. If you happen to have a machine that is variable speed, it will require less start up amperage if it’s turned on in the lowest setting or low gear I guess. So, I roll my variable speed band saw down before shutting off as well as the mill and lathe.
Thanks guys! All good info… I went 220 all the way. Two new 220 wires, outlets, and plugs all 100’ (x2) to my box in my basement. One for my Compressor and one for the Plasma. Wasn’t cheap, but will be worth it in the long run. Thanks for your help.
